Spring Is In the Air

Spring is in the air! whew

It feels like winter’s cold grip is starting to loosen, and gardeners (and would be) everywhere eagerly anticipate the vibrancy of life that Spring promises. To create a vivacious garden bursting with color and fragrance, it’s time to start potting for your Springtime botanical garden. You can pick up the seeds at your local Home Depot, Amazon, or your neighborhood hardware store.

Here are Some of the Best Perennials to Start Potting Now:

Daffodils:

Daffodils, bright, sunny, yellow petals are the epitome of Spring and impossible not to love. Considered to be the groundhog of the perennials, these can push through the thawing winter soil, revealing the first sign of Spring.

Tulips:

Tulips are the rainbow of spring gardens, showcasing a plethora of colors and forms. Start planting tulip bulbs now, so your garden will be enveloped in a display of colors that will ensnare the senses. You can choose from classic red or more exotic varieties, either way, tulips are a must-have.

Hyacinths:

Best known for their fragrant aroma, hyacinths are a delight for any garden. Pot their bulbs in late winter, to be rewarded with dense clusters of sweet-smelling blooms that permeate the air.

Pansies:

Due to their exceptionally hardy nature, Pansies can handle the cooler temperatures of late winter. They come in an abundance of colors and patterns, continually blooming well into spring. Their cheerful faces are a welcome sight after a long winter.

Crocuses:

Crocuses are among the earliest bloomers, often peeking through the last remnants of snow. Their vibrant purple, yellow, and white flowers bring a splash of color to the garden when few other plants are awake. Plant these small bulbs now to enjoy their early show.

Crocuses:

I have a major support system. I have been through some difficult times. When I was younger, I struggled with tonsillitis and strep throat. I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. God kept me and carried me through these challenges. Before I was adopted, whilst in the system, God carried me through. He placed me in foster care and I felt protected and grateful that nothing bad happened to me. I was in a violent domestic relationship, and he carried me through it. I had a strong foundation and a good upbringing and through everything He covered me. He kept the promises in His word that’s in the bible. I encourage you to read the bible for yourself and discover what he has in store for you. Read it over and over again and I can assure you that each time you read, you will receive new revelation. The word keeps me, the word sustains me and it is what I hold on to, not man. I recently started dating someone and it is going very well.

Tips:

  • Start planting now for optimal growth
  • Choose potting soil for the varieties you would like to grow
  • Consider your current ground and the quality of your dirt
  • Drainage and aeration also play an important role in choosing the right potting soil
  • Lastly, you can also speak with your HD or floral expert, and they will give you the best recommendations based on your needs.
