The end? New beginning!
The holiday season has come to what feels like an abrupt end. No more lights, no more festivities, no more decorations, no more shopping, no more family gatherings…no more nostalgia. No more…. Now what? As I ponder this question, I think of this scripture: “Delight thyself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4. The reason for the season was his birth. It was an opportunity to revere and celebrate him. This, however, does not have to end with the season.
So, keep the celebration going. Don’t let go of him now. He wants to commune with you. Set time apart to spend with Him daily. Delight yourself in Him!
Let not your heart be troubled

How does one delight oneself? Spending time in His word is the ultimate and authentic way you can do so. This is where you gain insight and revelation into who He is and simultaneously who you are. The first step is always the most challenging. It’s when you’re most likely to fall which is okay, as you get up, dust off, and start walking again. The more you walk, the more confident you become and the less likely to fall. When you delight yourself in Him, you become familiar with His voice, and answers to your questions become clear.
As simple as it may sound, it really is. Don’t make it complicated. Try this simple step:
Start reading the word. The Bible. This is how you begin the relationship. The dating process, the courtship. “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” James 4:8
Download the Bible App. In 2023, according to You Version, its Bible App features over 3,000 Bible versions in over 2,000 languages, so no excuses.
Most importantly, schedule your dating time. Put Him on your calendar, and do not cancel or reschedule. Stick to the schedule. This is very important, especially in the early process of the relationship. You need to show Him that you are serious about getting to know Him.
Go ahead and make the first move. You won’t be judged for it!
